The District uses the MyRide K-12 parent app which gives parents the ability to view their students’ bus stop assignment, route information, and estimated time of arrival/drop off times. Parents and caregivers can also elect to receive push notifications through the app which provides real time arrival and delay updates. The app can be downloaded for iPhone and Android. More information on the MyRide K-12 app and instructions can be found below.
Starting in the 2025-26 school year, the MyRide K-12 app will be the primary platform for families to view their bus assignments as well as receive updates on bus routes, times, and delays.
Getting Started with Your Mobile Device
To access student routing information through the My Ride K-12 mobile app, do the following:
1. Download “My Ride K-12” from the Google Play Store or Apple IOS Store.
2. After the installation is complete, open the mobile app.
3. Once your district is selected, you’ll be presented with the login page. If you don’t already have a login, click ‘Register’.
4. To register, enter your email address, create your password and username.
5. After registering, you’ll receive an email confirmation. The link provided will require you to confirm your registration through the My Ride K-12 website.
6. When you’re asked to find your school district, search for Palos Community Consolidated 118
7. Login and then add your child by going to My Students and choosing the + button. This will present the Find a student screen.
8. Enter the required fields: Student ID (found in Skyward), Last name of the student and Date of Birth {Ex: DD-MM-YYYY}. The Student ID is the same Student ID you use for Skyward Portal. Your child may know it as it is also their login for their district device.
9. You may repeat this step to find your other students.
10. When all students are added, you can then view transportation information for each of your students.
11. If you’d like to share a student link with another person, go to My Students, Select Action, and Share Students. 1 share allowed per student.
12. Choose which students to share, then enter the email address of the person you’d like to share with. That person will receive a confirmation email, which will then automatically link the student to that user. They will be required to register with My Ride K-12 if they haven’t already done so.
NOTE: To receive push notifications from the app that will alert you to changes in bus times you must have notifications enabled and be logged into the app.
